I went down to Musselwick Mouth at the afternoon’s end today for a high tide swim off the rocks: so needed after a long hot and dusty gardening session. Anyway I took my sketching gear just in case, and a family were down there rod spinning for mackerel.
The girl, who was in short dungarees, was having a bit of trouble trying to get the hang of casting; but, as she was having lots of goes, that gave me a chance to capture the occasion. Strong portrait potential one day, I’d say, with her wonderful lion’s mane hair.
My first location sketch of 2023… Yes, that’s inexcusably late!
