Sounds like a hot wind ensemble – probably is! These last few evenings I have been burning some old bits of yacht, diesely marine ply with brass screws: hence, some lovely colours once the embers really cook up… Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc: if you look up the colours of copper and zinc flames, all will be explained.
