Two months ago during a wet spell I transplanted a Mullein from my garden to the lane verge opposite the house. It settled in well and did indeed thrive – until the Mullein Moth caterpillars took up residence! Its upper leaves are now little more than tatty skeletons. Moth photo courtesy of Orlanda Kilner.
