How odd that two trees should produce rude apples this year! On the left is Welsh Cox; on the right – I don’t know because that is a fruit from the root stock of one of my commercially grafted trees – which, when it started growing off on its own some years back, I decided to let it continue, to see what happened. Happily the apples are quite tasty!
