Had to make myself sketch first and then go down for a swim!
You will see I noted “16 x 36”, i.e. the intended painting
would extend considerably further to the left.
This wasn’t the lowest predicted tide of these springs;
it was, though, on this beach –
what’s more, I don’t recall seeing the sea lower than this in the last 20 years.
