At last: a good amount of rain – and much of it delivered overnight! Everything in the garden looks much happier; even better, my neighbour’s old heating oil tank which I hastily “re-purposed” as a water butt recently is full to the brim: that’s 1200 litres.
What you see here is only a temporary arrangement: longer term I hope to re-site the tank where it can be higher (for a better supply head) and filled via a break tank which should catch leaves and sediment.
