Today, to fit mounting rails onto one of my large paintings (oil on panel), I needed some narrow shank screws about an inch long, ideally rustproof – and behold, when I looked closely at the piece of trim from a wrecked yacht I picked up on Marloes Sands yesterday… just the sort of little darlings I was after, and marine grade stainless steel into the bargain!
