The sun was out today for a few hours: washing on the line fast, and then after lunch down to Albion Sands, via Marloes Sands, to check on how the paddlesteamer wreck site was looking. I picked up these sister timbers, 2″ x 4″ softwood, about half a mile apart; but I am sure they come from the same place: both have been used for concrete shuttering.
As it happened the Albion sand level was far higher than usual, so hardly anything showing; but I had a great swim in the beautifully warm surf.
Rain came blowing very sharply right at the end of my walk; luckily I had taken in the laundry before setting off; and afterwards my reward was a rather good rainbow.
