A photo taken by Lady Nightingale outside the old school at Brynberian – rather doctored to remove the overhead phone lines! I haven’t spotted a wild (ie not parkland) tree so symmetrical since the 1980s – that was a huge perry pear growing on the edge of a field behind Newnham on Severn (Gloucs); sadly, with all the loss of orchards, probably gone now.
