I have been lifting my potatoes: hard work with the ground so dry, however when you do hoik the spuds out they are beautifully dry, so should store well. One plant had to remain, though, because I hadn’t the heart to destroy the self-seeded wildflowers growing above it in such an elegant way…
My barrow isn’t holding the total yield: that’s just from the last few plants, which I finished off yesterday morning – plus a typical gardener’s radio!
